If you are training for a Masters Swim Championships, either the World Masters Games, the World Masters Championships or a National Masters Championships or a Triathlon you will need proper training. If you are training as you did when you were 18 at the age of 40 you are training wrong! If you wamt to know more about how to train either join one of my Masters swim Camps or contact me for a personalized training plan! And you know what? We are having fun!

We are all Winners!

It is great to see how much fun the children have learning to swim and how important it is to encourage them and give the confidence especially in the beginning of their “swimming career”. The SwimStar method focus on just these things and after working with this method it gives me great satisfaction in seeing even the most unconfident children dipping their heads under water, blowing out air and then showing off a smile bigger than the sun afterwards. They feel like winners! And they are!!!

Training for the World Masters Championships

December 13th, 2009

You cannot always expect perfect training conditions as a masters swimmer. But we must let go of the conservative upbringing which taught us that a pool must be 25m, 50m or at least 25 yards in order to get a proper training done. Water is water and I have trained all over the world in the most peculiar shaped pools, lakes and oceans. It is a challenge but when you think creative and use your imagination you can always get some great training done. Like this “obstacle course” in a 10meter long, 60cm deep childrens pool.

Train this winter in the sun!

December 4th, 2009

Swim in the sun on Tenerife

Swim in the sun on Tenerife

There are still some places left for SwimStars camps on Tenerife this winter. Get away from the grey and cold winter and splash in to the warm water on the beautiful island of Tenerife and the new training complex T3.

The modern training complex has two pools (one 50m and one 25m), a swimflume for technique filming and analysis, weight room, bike renting and all you need for a great camp. I will be there to coach you to reach your full potential and have fun at the same time. If you are not looking for the sun I am also doing some camps in the in Göteborg in the World Masters Championships pool in February and May!

There are camps on Tenerife in December, January and February. If you are interested do write me an email. I coach you in English, Ich trainiere Euch in Deutsch, jag tränar er pa “Skandinaviska”!
