Two 5 year olds with great expectations.

Swim like Spiderman!
Today we opened the first SwimStars swim school in Hamburg with 40 children. all eager to learn to swim (better) according to the SwimStars method. I think it was a success, at least from judging the smiles on the childrens and the parents faces after the lessons today. Thank you for coming! And thank you Henriette and Axel for doing such a great job.

Rowdy Gaines, a true american hero!
23,28 and 51,61 are rather descent times in the 50 and 100m freestyle for a man. Ok, I know that there is one or two women now a days that swim that fast but it is still times that millions of young swimmers around the world dream of swimming.
The man that just swam those times has swum faster, in fact, he has won 3 olympic golds! But that was 25 years ago!!! Today Rowdy Gaines is 50 years old, a proud father of 4, TV sport commentator and working for Limu Co. who promotes Rowdys Kidz, a charitable program for children and swimming. Rowdy is the world best promoter for the sport swimming, ask me I know; I worked with Rowdy several years in Japan and on Hawaii. He is not only a really fantastic swimmer, he is also friendly and nice to everyone he meets, willing to share is experience and knowledge without tiring. I learned a lot from him during those years and it is an honour to select him as World Masters Masters swimmer of the month. 51,61 in the 100m freestyle! Who thought that would be possible?!?! Thank you Rowdy for inspiring me and swimmers all over the world!

Vladislav Bragin brakes increadible World Masters records in Finland at the Nordic Championships agegroup 35-39. The swimmer from Ducks Creek, St. Petersburg, the same club as my opponent Timour Podmarew, swam 28, 47 in the 50m breast and 1.02,72 (LC) in the 100m breast! The times are amazing and Bragin will be tough challenge for our own champion Per Svanberg in Göteborg at the World Masters next year in Göteborg. Ducks Creek in St. Petersburg are really good at producing breaststroke champions!

Anne Morrissey from Ireland
Anne Morrissey went to the World Masters Camp in Göteborg last August and felt really good about the training there. After my seminar on the 9 week training cykle she asked if I could make her a personalized training plan that she could follow in Ireland since she has not improved her results at all the last years. She has been getting slower and slower. Well, said and done! We worked out an 9 week plan out for her and I have since then coached her “online”. Yesterday, after only 9 weeks of training came the first competition. She swam the best times ever in 9 years! Great job Anne, Congratulations! I am proud of you! Now she is looking foward to swim even faster!
